Universities, colleges and large campuses
Under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, most university campuses count as bulk waste generators. Many also produce biomedical waste at the health centre, e-waste from labs and IT, lab chemicals and used oil from DG sets. DhartiQ keeps one register for all of it, from each hostel, mess and lab to the agency that takes it away.
Early access means: the software works and you can try it now with sample data. We set it up for you in a paid pilot at the Starter price, and you talk directly to the people who build it.
Rules that apply to you.
- Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026: a campus is a bulk waste generator if it has 20,000 m² or more of floor area, uses 40,000 litres of water a day, or produces 100 kg of waste a day
- Four-stream segregation (wet, dry, sanitary, special care), and wet waste processed on campus or a certificate for off-site processing (EBWGR)
- Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 for the health centre; E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 for labs and IT; Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, 2016 for lab chemicals and DG-set oil

Where things go wrong today.
- Each hostel, mess and department hands waste to a different contractor, with no record of how much
- The health centre, labs and estate office keep separate files for biomedical, e-waste and chemical waste
- Green-audit and accreditation questions on waste are answered with estimates

Common questions.
Why does a university need waste records?
Large campuses are typically bulk waste generators under the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, and many also produce biomedical waste (health centre), e-waste (labs and IT) and hazardous lab chemicals, each with its own rules and audits.
What does DhartiQ track on a campus?
Waste by source (hostels, mess, academic blocks, labs, health centre) in wet, dry, sanitary and special-care streams, on-site composting, and handovers to recyclers, with weights and dates.
Can it support NAAC or sustainability reporting?
It gives you load-level figures and period reports you can use as evidence for green-campus and sustainability reporting. It does not prepare NAAC submissions itself.
What does it cost?
From ₹4,999 a month plus 18% GST, with a free 30-day pilot. Growth is ₹14,999 a month and Enterprise starts at ₹39,999 a month.
